Context & Challenge
The street lighting modernization project in the Rzemieślnicze housing estate in Będzin was carried out to improve energy efficiency and upgrade the existing electrical power infrastructure. The investment was aimed at reducing energy consumption, improving the reliability of the lighting system, and adapting the infrastructure to modern technical standards.
Scope & Solution
The scope of work included the renovation of the low-voltage electrical network for street lighting by dismantling existing luminaires and cables, including overhead cables with safety features, and installing new energy-efficient LED luminaires. A total of 54 lighting points were modernized, including the replacement of power supply installation components and protection devices. As part of the project, a reactive power compensation module was installed, and the existing astronomical timer was replaced with a modern clock enabling wireless programming via mobile devices.
Outcome
The investment improved the energy efficiency and quality of street lighting in the Rzemieślnicze housing estate in Będzin. The modernized infrastructure ensured greater system reliability, reduced operating costs, and enabled more efficient management of street lighting.
